Karranah bomb blast condemned

Kuwait, Aug.29 (BNA): Kuwait National Assembly Deputy Speaker Mubarak Al-Khurainij condemned the terror blast that occurred last night in Karranah. He called upon all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to intensify efforts and step up cooperation to root out the scourge of terrorism. In a press statement today, he urged the GCC countries to expose the terrorist parties which are implicated in masterminding acts of sabotage, stressing the need to protect the Arabian Gulf region from terrorism and maintain its security and stability. "These mercenary and proxy terrorist groups are seeking to subvert the regional security and stability", he said, describing the GCC member states’ security as integral. Al-Khurainij affirmed the stance of his country’s leadership, government and people in support of Bahrain in confronting terrorist acts which, he said, will not have any effect on the Kingdom’s strength and cohesion.
