Katara Concludes the "Cultural Diversity Festival"

Doha, May 31 (QNA) - Katara: The Cultural Village Foundations Esplanade theatre has witnessed the end of Katara's spectacular "Cultural Diversity Festival" activities, with a breathtaking Argentinian folkloric performance that featured the originality of the rich Argentina and Latin American traditions, through powerful musical performances. "The Cultural Diversity Festival" started in January, with the participation of 20 multi-national and remarkable cultural shows representing numerous countries. The festival was organized by Katara in cooperation with the UNESCO office in Doha, and Qatars National Commission for Education, Culture and Science. On this occasion, the General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara Dr. Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said: "Through organizing and hosting such diverse-array of performances at the "Cultural Diversity Festival", the Cultural village is seeking to further bridge gabs between cultures and create an environment for all to connect in a creative way". Katara's Chief added: "We continue to partner with the UNESCO Office in Doha and Qatars National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, to emphasize the importance of cultural diversity as an approach towards peace and sustainable development". The Argentinian company "Sentires", is a professional cultural art company that promotes Argentinian culture through outstanding performances with more than 20 performing platforms found in all provinces of Argentina, making it one of the largest and most important art and cultural powerhouses in Argentina and beyond. The company recorded successful and artistic shows such as "Feel What Our", "Feeling Tango", and "Feel Malambo", which were presented in numerous festivals and theatres in the country. The Argentinian "Sentires" also represented the Argentinian culture at international festivals in countries like: Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Holland, Brazil, Bulgaria, Ecuador, Poland, Germany and South Korea, bagging prestigious international awards.
