Kazakhstan develops country’s social stability map

Kazakhstan, Astana, August 21 / Trend D. Mukhtarov/ Kazakhstan is working towards developing a map of the republic's social stability which will reflect possible zones of concern requiring the special attention of the authorities to avoid worsening of the situation, the General Director of the Centre for Social Partnership under the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna Nurlan Yerimbetov said at press conference in Astana on Wednesday. "The situation in each region is estimated by 40 indicators, that is the number of enterprises, payment of salaries, statistics on accidents and the number of unemployed," Yerimbetov said. According to him, the thorough analysis of all group companies, the members of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund where the focus was on the determination of dissent among labour collectives was conducted as well. "In particular, in two large companies, members of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund whose names have not yet been showed the level of dissent constituted three per cent," Yerimbetov said. He said that since early 2013, Samruk-Kazyna JSC had been conducting research on the determination of a rating for social stability of the group of companies of Samruk-Kazyna JSC jointly with the Corporate Foundation Centre for Social Partnership. A social stability rating is the strategic social efficiency of the company. The results of the research on the determination of a rating allow the holding of an annual comparison of social indicators of production companies of the Fund, dynamics of changes in the company's situation, the social mood in the collective, the level of social optimism or pessimism and evaluation of potential willingness of workers for the dissent. According to the indicators, received on the results of a rating determination, the map of social stability of the fund's groups of companies will be formed and recommendations on improvement of the social policy of Samruk-Kazyna JSC presented. "By late 2013, the work on compiling the map of stability will be completed and results passed to the government and presented to the public," Yerimbetov said. Do you have any feedback?
