Kerry: The Islamic State Has Lost Its Influence in Iraq

BAGHDAD / NINA / US Secretary of State, John Kerry confirmed that the Islamic State organization has lost its influence in Iraq. Kerry said in a speech opened the conference of the international coalition countries at the headquarters of NATO in the Belgian capital Brussels: "The international coalition is determined to defeat the (IS) organization in Iraq and Syria through constant cooperation and coordination." Kerry added that "the international coalition continues to support Iraqi forces in their fight against the organization, and Iraq has begun to regain control over areas after the expulsion of the (IS) from them." Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari have traveled to Brussels on Monday to attend the conference. / End
