Khairat Al-Bahrain agricultural project reviewed

Manama, Feb 8 (BNA): Agriculture and Marine Resources Undersecretary Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa has received Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulrahman Khalil Ahmed, to discuss the latest developments of "Khairat Al-Bahrain" agricultural project in Sudan. The Undersecretary praised the Sudanese Ambassador's efforts in boosting the fraternal relations between the two countries in various areas, chiefly agricultural and marine wealth. He reviewed aspects of agricultural cooperation and benefiting from exchanging expertise in the same sphere. He briefed the Sudanese Ambassador on the feasibility study of the project, which is overseen by Bahrain's Agriculture Ministry and the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah. He stressed the need to stimulate the joint committees to activate all agreements related to agricultural and livestock researches areas. Sudan's Ambassador called for strengthening partnerships that serve the development processes taking place in the two countries. He wished Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. Bahrain and Sudan, on the second of February 2015, signed a cooperation agreement in the framework of cooperation in the food security area, by which Khairat Al-Bahrain agricultural project to take place in the northern province of Sudan.
