Khalifa Foundation continues its relief project in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian work continues its relief project to help those affected by disaster in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan due to floods and disasters that had hit a number of provinces of the Afghan north. The team of the Foundation under the supervision of the U.A.E.'s Embassy in Kabul has distributed relief assistance to the needy people in Takhar province in the far north of Afghanistan and province of Baghlan. The team also distributed humanitarian aid to 330 needy families and affected people in the Baghlan province. The relief assistance included basic foodstuff as well as blankets. On his part, Juma Al Kaabi, Acting Charge d'Affaires of the U.A.E. Embassy in Kabul said under the project of the Khalifa Foundation to extend relief to the people affected by floods and disasters in the northern provinces, 13,179 families have benefited.
