KHAN BANK JOINS "BANKING GROVE" CAMPAIGN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian banking organizations has laid the foundation of the "Banking Grove" campaign in the National Park. This is the appeal to the public to plant trees, protect and restore the environment and make contributions to increasing of green facilities in the capital city. In the scope of the campaign, organized by the partners, supporters and members of Mongolian Sustainable Finance in cooperation with My Club students’ e-group, a tree-planting has taken place at the Choijin Lama Monastery museum, the Khan Bank’s website reported Monday. The Choijin Lama Monastery museum contains unique and excellent artworks of Mongolia’s history, religion, culture, architectures and sculptures. Therefore, the Mongolian banks are making contribution to refurbishing such a culturally significant place. The action gathered Mongolian Bankers Association management, senior officials of the banks or members of the Sustainable Finance Program, its working group members and the program partners and supporters including the Bank of Mongolia, Ministry of Environment, Green Development and Tourism, IFC and students of My Club movement. For the purpose of making actual contributions to create green facilities, Khan Bank has been implementing the Khan Bank’s Forest program since 2008 and planting trees in cooperation with individuals and corporate entities in Ulaanbaatar and rural areas.
