Khojaly victims remembered in Aktau

Aktau, February 24 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan`s Consulate General in Aktau has organized a commemorative ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. The event brought together students, officials of “Friendship” Azerbaijan`s Cultural Center in Mangistau Region and journalists. Participants viewed an exhibition and familiarized themselves with the books about the tragedy. Azerbaijan`s Consul General in Aktau Rashad Mammadov briefed the event participants about the Khojaly massacre. He also spoke of the Justice for Khojaly campaign, initiated by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, General Coordinator of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Intercultural Dialogue, Leyla Aliyeva. Chairman of “Friendship” Azerbaijan`s Cultural Center in Mangistau Region Yusif Guliyev spoke of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan. Participants were informed about www.justiceforkhocaly.org website and watched a documentary on the Khojaly tragedy.
