Khon Kaen airport resumes services

KHON KAEN, Jan 27 (TNA) - Khon Kaen airport’s passenger terminal has resumed services early this morning after it was hit by a fire on Friday. The fire erupted at the power control room on the third floor of passenger terminal. Initially, it is believed that the blaze was caused by a short circuit. Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith inspected damages at the airport and ordered officials from concerned government agencies to speedily repair electricity systems on the first and second floor as well to clean the airport until it is now ready to resume full services. However, the third floor where the fire started remains closed. Part of the government budget has been allocated for spending on repairing the damage as well as procure necessary equipment. (TNA)
