King receives British MP Duncan

Manama, May 1 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received today British Conservative Party Member of Parliament Alan Duncan marking his visit to Bahrain. HM the King welcomed MP Duncan and hailed strong relations of friendship and solid historic cooperation binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UK in all fields and steadily-growing coordination. He stressed keenness on developing deep-rooted relations on all levels for the sake of the shared interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. He briefed MP Duncan on positive results of his successful visit to Egypt, stressing the importance of supporting Egypt and backing its principled stances against extremism and terrorism. HM the King and MP Duncan discussed latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest, hailing the role of the UK in tandem with the international community. MP Duncan expressed deep thanks to HM the King for his firm keenness on expanding joint cooperation and commended the role of Bahrain as well as its efforts to support regional security and stability.
