Kish FTZ Mulls Arranging Flights From Island To Various Parts Of World

Kish, Hormuzgan Prov., Nov 6, IRNA – Head of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization, Ali-Asghar Mounessian, said on Monday that flights from Kish Island International Airport to destinations all over the world is on agenda of his Organization. Mounessian told IRNA that necessary facilities are available in Kish International Airport for increasing foreign flights. On Kish-New York direct flight, Mounessian said the idea is under investigation by related decision making bodies. He said Kish Free Zone is mulling handling flights from the island to different parts of the world and New York can be one of the destinations. He went on to say that more than four million Iranians are now living in the US and this can provide the country with a good economic opportunity and undoubtedly, Iran-US direct flight can bring in considerable amount of foreign exchange annually. He added that since Kish is a Free Trade Zone, so no visa is required for foreign tourists visiting the island and Iranians residing in the US can come to the Island on their way to various parts of Iran./end
