By Noor Farhana Ahmad Norain KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's first Islamic animated musical for children has drawn the interest of international visitors at the KL Converge 2014 conference and creative industry exhibition here. Produced by a local company, Produk Hud-Hud Media Sdn Bhd, it is a television series imbued with Islamic content titled, 'Ummi..Ceritalah Pada Kami' (Mother..tell us about it). The series, tailored to domestic and international market, have scooped many creative industry awards locally. The company's corporate communication manager Saila Zulkhiefley said the production had also succeeded in penetrating the Indonesian and Brunei market. "Actually we have also received positive feedback after two days here, from the Oman and Uzbekistan delegations. "They have expressed their interest to use 'Ummi' as a case study and also to screen the series in their country," she told Bernama after the Content Malaysia 2014 conference Friday. Content Malaysia is one of the programmes in the three-day event being held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Saila said the uniqueness of Ummi compared to other programmes is that it was the first 3-D animation infused with music to reinforce the importance of moral values and kindness. She said Ummi would be shown in 27 countries beginning with Turkey and Italy after its season ends at the local television station, Indonesia and Brunei. Hud-Hud Media Sdn Bhd is owned by well known local composer Johan Nawawi and singer Nora.
