Korea National Heritage Protection Fund Established

Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The Korea National Heritage Protection Fund was established in the DPRK. Its mission is to make contributions to the protection of national heritage by accepting the donation of historical data and remains, materials and funds necessary for unearthing and verifying historical remains and relics and intangible heritages, preserving beauty spots and natural monuments, restoring, repairing and reconstructing history museums and historic sites, getting back historical remains drained abroad, etc. from local organizations, enterprises and people, overseas Koreans, foreign organizations and personages and international bodies. The fund is a nonprofit corporation which will issue certificates to donors according to the measure of their donation and afford them tour of beauty spots, history museums and historical sites in the country. Monuments to big donors will be set up at a convenient place near the historical sites restored with their endowment. And as for donors of many remains worthy of national treasure, an exhibition will be arranged in their names and donated remains are to be displayed in their names at a certain area of museum after the exhibition. Meanwhile, the fund will open its website and issue propaganda publications for people at home and abroad. The Secretariat of the Korea National Heritage Protection Fund takes charge of donation.
