Kremlin says Russia, Iraq will continue exchanging info

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. Russia will continue exchanging information with Iraq on the Syrian operation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday. Peskov commented on media reports that Russia’s ambassador to Baghdad Ilya Morgunov has handed over a message of President Vladimir Putin to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. "You know that the exchange of information between Moscow and Baghdad is ongoing," Peskov said, adding that the sides "coordinate actions" regarding the operation Russia is carrying out in Syria. The Russian presidential spokesman reminded that the information center has been set up in Baghdad to coordinate fight against the Islamic State terrorist group. "The exchange of information is indeed being carried out at various levels," he said. "The exchange of information will continue and of course, let’s say, coordination will be also continued," Peskov told reporters. Read more
