Kuala Lumpur Among 12 Best Cities In Dealing With Construction Permits

KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 (Bernama) -- Kuala Lumpur has been ranked as the 12th best city in the world out of 189 cities in the 'Dealing with Construction Permits' category last year. Kuala Lumpur Mayor Ahmad Phesal Talib said a major factor for the success was the efficiency of the on-line one-stop centre system in facilitating investors and contractors who wanted to apply for building permits in a short time. He said this was a major achievement as the city's ranking rose from 28th place in 2013 and 76th in 2012. The World Bank report listed Hong Kong in first place, followed by Singapore and Georgia. --BERNAMA
