Kyongsong Insulator Factory

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The Kyongsong Insulator Factory in Kyongsong County of North Hamgyong Province, the DPRK plays a big role in developing the electric power industry of the country. The factory has produced insulators and electric installations necessary for the construction of Huichon Power Station, Masikryong Ski Resort, Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station, Hyesan-Samjiyon Railway, Ryomyong Street and other important projects. Now, the factory is producing insulators and accessories to be sent to the important construction sites like the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area and Tanchon Power Station. The factory has increased the production of insulator 1.3 times by introducing hundreds of inventions and technical innovations into production, while decreasing the consumption of raw materials and fuel. As required by the age of knowledge-based economy, the factory also established the management aid system and production control system to put its production processes on an IT basis. The factory is associated with the immortal feats of the peerlessly great persons. President Kim Il Sung visited the factory in June Juche 37 (1948) to put forward a plan for turning the factory into an insulator producer. Later, he visited it five times to indicate the orientation and ways to be followed by it. Leader Kim Jong Il visited the factory on several occasions, including the visit he made in March 1999, to underscore the importance of its position in the economic construction and gave important instructions for modernizing the factory and increasing its capacity. The anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk visited it in September 1947 and encouraged its employees to turn out in the drive for building a new country.
