Kyrgyz Authorities Praise Qatar Charity's Efforts to Face Coronavirus Pandemic

Doha, March 03 (QNA) - Kyrgyz authorities praised Wednesday the efforts Qatar Charity in supporting the containment of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, through developmental and aid projects that helped alleviate the suffering of many segments of the Kyrgyz society. Bishkek Mayor Balbak Talbayev praised the State of Qatar's efforts to support the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to contain the Coronavirus pandemic. Qatar Charity implemented 221 developmental and aid projects that benefited 73,000 people. Qatar Charity is also currently implementing 380 projects that will benefit 315,000 people with a total cost of QR48 million. The projects covered sectors like education, healthcare, water, fighting poverty, among others. (QNA)
