Large-scale artillery field exercise launched in south of Russia

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. More than 8,000 artillerists of Russia’s Southern Military District are involved in field exercises of the missile troops and artillery that started on Thursday at 19 ranges in the Southern, North Caucasus and Crimean Federal Districts, the press service of the Southern Military District told TASS. "The combat training manoeuvres involve some 8,000 troops, more than 1,500 units of weapons and military equipment, including 400 artillery weapons, more than 100 volley fire rocket systems, 300 mortars and some 200 anti-tank weapons," the press service said.
