Larijani: Iran Ready To Export Technical, Engineering Services To Ghana

Tehran, May 11, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Saturday that Iran is ready to export technical and engineering sevices in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemical and modern technologies to the African states including Ghana. In a meeting with Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo, Minister of State, Private Sector Development and Public-Private Partnerships, he said that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution 1979, Iran pays special attention to ties with Africa in its foreign policy. Ghana also enjoys special status for Iran to develop economic cooperation in different fields, he said. Underlining promotion of parliamentary relations in various arenas, the Majlis speaker said that Majlis welcomes and supports any proposal and initiative to promote political, economic, commercial and cultural ties between Iran and Ghana. Iran boasts of various capacities in different fields of oil, gas and petrochemical and modern technologies, he said, voicing its readiness to make investments in Ghana. The top lawmaker stressed the need to use all potentials to enhance level of trade relations between the two countries. Palpou, for his part, described Iran as a significant and influential country in the Middle East and the entire world, saying that his country is willing to further boost ties with Iran in all fields. Ghana has different needs in various sectors which can be met by Iran, he said. He urgied the Iranian private and state sectors to further participate in developing economic infrastructure of Ghana./end
