Last body at building collapse in BKK found

BANGKOK, Dec 21 (TNA) - The last of the body, trapped under the rubble of a commercial building collapse in Bangkok was retrieved early this morning, bringing the total of number of people killed by the tragic incident to 4. Officials from the Thai Department of Public Works had used backhoe trucks and heavy machinery to open a passageway for disaster prevention and mitigation and foundation authorities, as well as volunteers to retrieve the body of Mr. Prai Kanunrum, 38, the last of the body, which was trapped under the rubble of a commercial building collapse in Sukhunvit 87. Meanwhile, Phra Kanong District Director Mrs. Wimolrat Setta-anan, who was also present at the scene to follow up on the situation said that about 100,000 baht of compensation money would be provided by the Rights and Liberties Protection Department to all of the victims' families. She added that after forensic process is completed for the all the bodies, the district office would also deliver the bodies back to their families for proper funeral ceremony. (TNA)
