Last week of royal crematorium opening

BANGKOK, Nov 27 (TNA) - The opening of the royal crematorium is already in its last week for visitors. General public can visit the cremation ground of King Rama IX until Nov 30. Visitors to the royal crematorium and its vicinity were endlessly arriving. They included numerous groups of teachers and students. Traffic was congested on roads near Sanam Luang, the cremation ground. Officials let visitors enter the cremation venue in rounds of 1,200-1,500 people each. On Nov 26 alone 132,494 people visited the crematorium. Since its opening at the beginning of this month, 2,127,829 people have been there. The old closure date on Nov 30 remains in effect. (TNA)
