Leader receives martyrs families of Sacred Defense, holy shrines defenders

Tehran, Dec 12, IRNA - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received a group of families of Sacred Defense martyrs and martyred defenders of the holy shrines in Tehran on Wednesday. Iraq’s eight years of imposed war in 1980-88 gave Iran 230,000 martyrs and 600,000 war-disabled while 43,000 Iranians were kept captive by the Iraqi forces and many others have gone missing.
