Lecture Meeting Hosted by Chongryon

Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) hosted a lecture meeting at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo on Feb. 15 to celebrate the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il. Attending it were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organization Department Pak Ku Ho and vice-chairpersons of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, advisers and department directors of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, leading officials of central organizations and affiliates, and chairpersons and officials of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area. Screened at the lecture meeting was a video "Noble Life Shining with Love for People". The video carries the historic scenes making the viewers recollect the devoted efforts of Chairman Kim Jong Il who developed the DPRK into a dignified socialist state centered on the popular masses, dedicating all his life to the wellbeing of the people. It shows the precious revolutionary career of the Chairman who firmly defended the destiny of the country and the people and provided an eternal foundation for building a powerful country, while smashing every vicious move of the imperialist allied forces to isolate and stifle the DPRK. It also deals with the immortal feats of the Chairman who embraced the Chongryon officials and other compatriots in Japan with warm love and clearly illumined the road ahead of the movement of Koreans in Japan. The video stresses that as there is the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the history of love for the people bestowed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il will be given steady continuity and the DPRK will further shine as the powerful and prosperous socialist homeland of Juche. -0-
