Li exhibits China's high-speed train in Thailand

BANGKOK, October 12 (TNA) - Visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang presided over a ceremony on Saturday morning to open a two-day exhibition displaying China’s innovative high-speed train, held at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre from October 12-13. Thai Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, as well as several other Thai Cabinet's members were also present at the event in honour of the Chinese Premier, who is paying a three-day official visit to Thailand, scheduled for October 11-13, his first trip to the Kingdom after he took office in March this year. Li and Yingluck later watched a seven-minute long video presentation on how China has developed its high-speed train programme, followed by looking on the exhibition and two bogeys of Chinese-made high-speed train. The Chinese high-speed train produces low noise, save energy and offers a maximum speed of 350 kilometres per hour. The Chinese Premier arrived in Thailand on Friday, aimed at cementing Sino-Thai relations, as well as ties with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in which Thailand is a member country.
