Libyan NGOs Protest Abduction Of Iranian Relief Workers In Benghazi

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA - - Libyan non-governmental organizations on Sunday staged demonstrations in protest at abduction of Iranian relief workers in Benghazi. They strongly condemned the brutal action by staging the demonstration and called for the immediate release of the seven member Iranian delegation. The demonstrators chanting slogans for the freedom of the Iranian Red Crescent Society workers as Libyan guests rallied towards the Benghazi court house. They described the abduction as against the principles of Libyan February 17th Revolution and as an act defaming the new Libyan government. Pointing to humanitarian aid granted by Iranian Red Crescent Society to Libyans during their revolution, the demonstrators called for immediate release of the Iranian nationals./end
