Life sentence for making, possessing explosives

Manama, Apr 28 (BNA): The Fourth High Criminal Court has sentenced three individuals to life in prison, and two others to three years in prison and a BD500 fine, Chief of Terror Crimes Prosecution, Mishal Al-Mannai, said. The court also ordered the confiscation of the material seized in the case of possessing and making explosives, weapons and ammunition. Al-Mannai added that the defendants were charged with possessing explosives, weapons and ammunition, as well as supplying terrorist groups with them. The first defendant was a leader of terrorist acts in Bahrain who had managed a social networking account while the second defendant had managed another social networking account. They made explosives and weapons. The Public Prosecution based its charges on testimonies, the defendants' confessions, witnesses' statements and forensic evidences. All defendants were referred to the Fourth High Criminal Court which reviewed the case in the presence of their lawyers before pronouncing its ruling.
