Lin Hui may have twins baby panda

CHIANG MAI, September 11 (TNA) -- Giant panda experts at the Chiang Mai Zoo have found either one or twin embryos in giant panda Lin Hui after an artificial insemination in June. Benjaphol Nakprasert, director of the Zoological Park Organization, told a press conference that two ultrasound examinations in the past 24 hours found clearly an amnion and an embryo measuring 6.92 centimetres long. The pictures confirmed that the artificial insemination was successful, Lin Hui became pregnant and its progesterone was rising, he said. Mr Benjaphol already informed the China Conservation & Research Centre for the Giant Panda of the development. He hoped the centre would send its experts to help take care of Lin Hui in Chiang Mai province. Existing information showed that the female giant panda could deliver twins, he said. (TNA)
