List of alleged corrupt officials now on Thai PM's hand

BANGKOK, April 22 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has already received the first list of about 100 government officials accused of corruption. Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Wissanu Krea-ngam, who oversees legal affairs, told journalists of the update on Tuesday, noting that the accused government officials range from levels 3-11. According to the deputy prime minister, the list is based on information from anti-graft organizations, like the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO). The deputy prime minister said that more lists of such officials will be followed later and those on the list will be first transferred pending official investigations. The deputy prime minister stressed if the accused officials were proved to be innocent, they would be reinstated. (TNA)
