Liverpool's Mayor To Join Street Photography Hunt In Surabaya

SURABAYA, E Java, March 13 (Antara) - The mayor of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, Joe Anderson, will hunt street photography in Surabaya, East Java, as one of his agendas during a working visit to Indonesia's second largest city on March 18-22. "We know that the hobby of Liverpool mayor is photography, so I will gather some photographers community to join the photos hunt in Surabaya with Anderson," Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini remarked here on Tuesday. Mayor Anderson will visit Surabaya with his deputy Gary Millar and some members of his city administration. The main agenda of their visit is to attend a signing ceremony of Surabaya-Liverpool Sister City's Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was aimed to enhance current partnership between two cities. The preparation of the series of his agenda in Surabaya is underway, Mayor of Surabaya Rismaharini noted. During the visit, the Surabaya's Mayor will also take the Liverpool's delegation to Tambaksari Field to watch young Surabayans playing football, to show off their skills to Tranmere Rovers FC's Football International Desk's technical director, who is included to the Liverpool delegation. The club was older than the internationally well-known Liverpool FC. "As he will be coming here, I will take him to watch our children playing football in Tambaksari. During his visit, 'inshaallah' (if Gods will), we will hold a U-11 or U-14 competition and choose 10 best young players to be sent there," Rismaharani said. The Liverpool's delegation will also visit Surabaya administrative office in Siola Building to see its smart city's facility Command Center Room 112, that connects many city's divisions in order to provide a better and faster service for the public. They will also visit Museum Surabaya, Surabaya Smart Subway's construction site, some public reading rooms, inclusive school, and other social facilities in the city.
