Local product fair to honor HM the Queen

NONTHABURI, Aug 14 (TNA) - The interior minister opened the sixth local product fair in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit to promote local products and boost the income of local producers. The fair was set at the Impact exhibition and convention center in Nonthaburi province on Aug 12-20. It started on the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen on Aug 12. Opening the fair, Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda said Her Majesty the Queen had actively developed and promoted local products through her arts and crafts support project to boost the income of local residents and the government followed suit by initiating the One Tambon (sub-district) One Product (OTOP) scheme. The fair consists of seven parts including the zones of quality local products, arts and crafts products, street foods, and herbal and health products. (TNA)
