Lukoil’s CEO Vagit Alekperov will meet oil ministers of Iraq and Iran in Vienna

MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. Chief Executive Officer of Russian oil and gas major Lukoil Vagit Alekperov will meet oil ministers of Iraq and Iran in Vienna. Alekperov made such a statement on Tuesday. "Yes, I will meet with oil ministers of Iraq and Iran," Alekperov said responding to the question concerning probable meetings on Vienna on the verge of the forthcoming OPEC summit. The next OPEC summit will be held in Vienna on June 5. The Russian company is taking part in Iraq’s West Qurna-2 oilfield development project as an operator. The company is also participating in the Block 10 project 120 km to the west from Basra. Furthermore, Lukoil confirmed its interest in the Nasiriya project contemplating the field development and the refinery construction. Lukoil is also interested in returning to Anaran project in Iran after sanctions are lifted. Read more
