Malaysia Asked To Play A Role To Stop Conflicts In Middle Eastern Countries

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- Malaysia, as a country which has good moderation practices can play a major role to stop conflicts in Middle Eastern countries, said Bosnia Herzegovina chairman of the Malay and Islamic World (DMDI) Amer Bukvic. He said the moderation practices in this multiracial country were a good example for others to live in peace and harmony. "Malaysia's moderation is actually the model needed for the countries since there aee so many conflicts, fighting and killing among Muslims in Syria and the middle eastern region. "So Malaysia should play a role with moderation and try to at least stop the conflicts between Muslims," he said at the Political and Economical Trends in South East Europe international forum here Wednesday. The forum, organised by DMDI, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Majlis Belia Malaysia and several youth organisations, was launched by DMDI president Mohd Ali Rustam. The forum is a medium to share information, challenges and opportunities in politics and socio-economics especially between Malaysia and Bosnia Herzegovinia. -- BERNAMA
