Malaysia Condemn Yemen's Suicide Bombing

PUTRAJAYA, May 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysia strongly condemned the perpetrators behind the horrific suicide bombing in Sana'a during the rehearsal for Yemen's Unification Day on Monday. Foreign Minister, Anifah Aman said the suicide bombing had caused the unnecessary loss of lives of innocent soldiers. "In this regard, we (Malaysia) convey our condolences to the families of the bereaved soldiers and wishes a speedy recovery to those wounded," he said in a statement here Tuesday. Anifah said the heinous act would aggravate further the security situation in the country and derail the efforts of President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi towards the national reconciliation and dialogue. "Malaysia fully support the Transitional Government under the leadership of President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi and is confident that the people of Yemen would act in unison by not allowing such action to distract the democratic transition process towards constitutional reforms," he said. Anifah said all Malaysians in Yemen were safe and advised them to take all the precautionary measures needed to ensure their safety. -- BERNAMA
