Malaysia-Poland Bilateral Relationship Need To Be More Prominent

KANGAR (Perlis, Malaysia), Oct 16 (Bernama) -- Bilateral cooperation between Poland and Malaysia need to be more prominent, including in the education sector, said Poland Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr Adam W. Jelonek on Tuesday. He said currently cooperation in education had started to improve, including the University of Malaysia, Perlis (UniMAP) with two universities in Warsaw. Recently, in Warsaw, UniMAP started a collaboration with the Warsaw University of Technology in engineering while the cooperation with the University of Kozmiski Poland involved international business, marketing and administration. UniMAP was represented by its Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Kamarudin Hussin during the signing of the memorandum while the Warsaw University of Technology was represented by its rector, Prof Jan Szmidt and Kozminski University of Poland was represented by its rector, Prof Witold T Billecki. "I am confident that the collaboration will help nourish diplomatic relations that already exist," he told reporters here Tuesday. Currently there are about 1,000 Malaysian students studying in various fields in Poland, he said. However, he did not disclose the number of students from Poland who are studying here. Dr Adam who arrived in Malaysia Northern state of Perlis on Monday, met the Crown Prince of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullaill at the Arau Palace, Tuesday. -- BERNAMA
