Malaysia Police Denies Report About Knowing What Happened To MH370

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 15 (Antara) - The Malaysian Police has denied an Indonesian media report quoting Indonesian Police Chief General Sutarman who claimed that he and the Malaysian authority knew what happened to the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. "I want to know what the name of the media house is and when the report was published. I will ask my Indonesian counterpart (Chief of Indonesian Police General Sutarman) whether he ever released such a statement or not," Malaysia`s Chief of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, affirmed here on Monday. On Saturday (September 13), an Indonesian media portal tempo.co quoted Sutarman who claimed that he and the Malaysian police were aware of what had happened to the missing MH370 plane. However, he declined to explain his statement. "I and the Malaysian police know what happened to the missing plane. I have given them (the Malaysian side) valuable information. Only me and the Malaysian police chief know what it is," noted Sutarman. Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, went missing on March 8 during its flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The search for the missing plane is still ongoing.
