Malaysia Willing To Share Development Experience With Developing Countries

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has always been a willing partner in sharing its experience with developing countries including from Africa, says Chief Secretary to the Government, Dr Ali Hamsa. "We also offer and provide training under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme to African countries as part of our unwavering commitment towards South-South cooperation," said Ali who is also Malaysian Institute of Integrity chairman at a dinner hosted for 27 delegates of Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (Esami) here Thursday. The 27 senior officers from Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe are here for a five-day programme starting Monday. Ali said that Malaysia believed in sharing best practices especially its transformation programme. Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) president Dr Mohd Tap Salleh said cooperation between Esami and IIM was for sharing of experience from an agriculture to an industrial nation. Participants attended sessions with Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu), Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Tourism Malaysia and the Economic Planning Unit (EPU). It also involved the Public Service Department, Immigration Department, Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu), Petronas and Perdana Leadership Foundation. -- BERNAMA
