Malaysians Travelling To Turkey Reminded To Put Safety First

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- The foreign ministry has reminded Malaysians residing or travelling to Turkey to always give utmost priority to personal safety and the security of their surroundings. In a statement Wednesday, it also advised Malaysians to closely monitor and comply with any advisory issued by the Government of Turkey. "The Government of Malaysia condemns in the strongest terms the bomb attack that took place in Ataturk Airport, Istanbul on June 28, which killed 36 people and left 147 others injured. "The Foreign Ministry, through the Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara will continue to monitor the situation," it said. Wire agencies reported quoting Turkey's officials as saying that three suicide bombers opened fire before blowing themselves up in the main international airport in Istanbul.
