Malaysia's PWTC Ready For 48TH AMM/PMC

KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- The Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here is all set to welcome the delegations to the 48th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting /Post Ministerial Conference (AMM/PMC) which will be held from Aug 1 to 6. PWTC chief executive officer Maxson Abdullah Jaafar said the more than 300 PWTC staff had pledged to give the best services to the elegations. "For the sake of the delegations' convenience and comfort, the PWTC management made preparations since three months ago," he told reporters after PWTC's Best Service Pledge ceremony in conjunction with the 48th AMM/PMC here, Saturday. He said PWTC will use the experience they gained while handling big events, namely UMNO's annual general assemblies and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in 2003 to guide them during the 48th AMM/PMC. "It is because they (PWTC staff) are like little ambassadors who not only represent PWTC, but Malaysia as a whole, and for that, they have to give the best," he said. Maxson Abdullah said as sign of support, commitment and sincerity from the PWTC staff, each of them will pin a 'Friendly Smiling Service' badge on their uniforms for the entire duration of the events. He added that PWTC had also modified the conference halls at Level Two and also upgraded Internet speed in all meeting rooms and onference halls. -- BERNAMA
