Many Iskandar Muda TNI Soldiers Dismissed

Banda Aceh, Aceh Province, Jan 23 (Antara) - A total of 41 TNI soldiers of Iskandar Muda Military Command in Aceh Province were dismissed with disrespect in 2013 because of various violations, according to official. "They were dismissed with disrespect because of the cases of desertion, fraud, abuse of authority and drugs," Iskandar Muda Military Commander May.Gen. Pandu Wibowo explained here on Thursday. He noted that the sanction imposed on the 41 TNI soldiers was part of the army institution`s real manifestation of sincerity in its law enforcement efforts. "The sanction was imposed to them as a lesson for the other soldiers, in order to keep them from committing similar violations of the existing norms and regulations," he pointed out. Pandu explained that the dismissal has to be carried out for the interest of the army institution to uphold the legal supremacy and to restore the image of the army in the eyes of the public.
