Marivan Intl. Street Theater Festival kicks off

TEHRAN,Oct.3(MNA) -- The 8th Marivan International Street Theater Festival opened in the northwestern Iranian town on Wednesday. A total of 86 plays by 27 troupes will be performed in various district of the town in Kordestan Province during the three-day event. Two theater troupes from Iraq and one theater group from Turkey will give performances at the festival. In addition, prominent Azerbaijani theater scholar Intiqam Soltan and Iranian academics Qotbeddin Sadeqi and Manuchehr Akbarlu are scheduled to hold series of workshops
