Massive crowd in Northeast gather to pay historic tribute to late Thai King

NAKHON RATCHASIMA, THAILAND, October 28 (TNA) - A massive crowd was gathering in Nakhon Ratchasima Province in the Thai Northeast for a mass singing of the Royal Anthem to pay tribute to late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Nakhon Ratchasima Governor Vichien Chantaranothai expressed his delight on Friday that a hundred thousand of people participated in the historic mass singing of the Royal Anthem in his province on Thursday night. Vichien said the historic activity, held at the plaza in front of the Thao Suranaree Monument, has been recorded in a video footage and will be disseminated through various media channels. The governor acknowledged since the day he was born, he has never seen people in his province gathering in any event in such the massive crowd, apparently showing their love, respect and loyalty to the late and great Thai monarch. The governor also expressed his sincere appreciation to all the gathering people despite downpours. According to the governor, another event will be held during November 1-4 at the Mall Nakhon Ratchasima department store in remembrance of the 61st anniversary of late His Majesty the King's visit to his province.
