Mataram To Host Lombok Marathon 2016

MATARAM, W.Nusa Tenggara, Nov 15 (Antara) - Mataram will be organizing Lombok Marathon 2016 on December 4 to commemorate the 58th commemoration of West Nusa Tenggara province. Chairman of the Indonesian National Sport Commission, Andy Hadianto, here on Monday said the marathon race will start at Senggigi beach and finish in front of the governor office. The sport event will compete two categories of full marathon of 42 kilometers and half marathon of 10 kilometers. The marathon will pass the roads in West Lombok district and Mataram city, and therefore the participants will enjoy the scenic panorama while they are running. "About 2,800 participants from 20 countries have registered," Andy said. He hoped the marathon race will be successful and become a regular international event in the future.
