MAYOR MEETS OFFICIALS OF EVALUATION COMMISSION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city E.Bat-Uul Monday received officials of an evaluating commission. It will study nowadays Ulaanbaatar and international experiences, seek solutions for anti-corruption and draw up draft policy documents to be discussed by the forthcoming “Open Ulaanbaatar” international anti-corruption forum scheduled this October. The Mayor said the commission's support is important despite measures Mongolia has started itself. “Before, authorities would ignore the service for people due to uncertainty in the anti-corruption laws and regulations, now our fight against the corruption and bribery is strong, for example, we have started to inform people on the city's budgetary expenditure, on domestic and foreign trips of officials, on orders of the Mayor," he said. "A center has been also set up to give people one-spot services," he added and asked the guests to give effective advice and recommendations on how to improve actions of the administrative bodies. In a scope of the survey, the commission will get au fait with activities of the Authority of General Planning, the Property Relations Agency, the Procurement Agency and the Center for Citizens, and will meet authorities of civil society organizations.
