Mazandaran province to host Startup Weekend

Sari, Mazandaran Prov. Nov 18, IRNA - Sari in the north Iranian province of Mazandaran will host the, first ever, International Startup Weekend from November 19 to 21. Alistair Shepherd will participate in the event. Besides being a co-founder at Saberr, Alistair is a fellow of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a Startup Weekend facilitator, an engineering researcher and entrepreneur in residence at the University of Southampton and chairman of the board for the Student Kitesurfing Association, according to Tuesday's edition of 'Iran Daily'. Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event, which will be attended by developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts who come together to share ideas, form teams, build products and launch startups. All activities follow the same basic model: Everyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54-hour business model creation, coding, designing and market validating. The weekend culminates with presentations by local entrepreneurial leaders with an opportunity for critical feedback. Those interested in participating in the event can enroll through http://sarisw.ir website./end
