MCOT celebrates 63rd anniversary

BANGKOK, April 9 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT) celebrates the 63rd anniversary of its establishment on April 9, with an announcement on its policy on moving forward to promote a knowledge-base society and to provide options for the public in the present digital age. MCOT President Sivaporn Chomsuwan announced the firm position while presiding over an event to celebrate the company's 63rd anniversary at MCOT's head office in Bangkok on Thursday morning. Sivaporn said that MCOT's digital business has been on progress, supported by professional personnel in all relevant areas and their strong performances. At the event, the MCOT president also received bouquet vases, presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak and Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, through royal representatives, on the auspicious occasion on behalf of the company's management and staff members. Representatives of allied public and private agencies, including those from the government-run Public Relations Department (PRD), other television and radio stations, digital TV alliances, the Government Housing Bank (GHB) and entertainers, also participated in the celebrating event. On early Thursday morning, MCOT management and staff gave alms to 63 Buddhist monks, kicking off the company's day-long celebrating activities. MCOT is a most established Thai media firm running Modernine TV, Radio MCOT Networks and Thai News Agency (TNA). (TNA)
