MCOT introduces new health reality show

BANGKOK, November 27 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm running Thai News Agency (TNA), MCOT original, SD and HD TV stations and Modern Radio Networks, has joined forces with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to launch a reality television show to creatively promote healthy lifestyles among people in Thailand. ThaiHealth Chief Dr. Krissada Ruang-areerat told a press conference in Bangkok on Thursday that the new health reality TV show, to be co-produced by MCOT and ThaiHealth, is aimed to encourage and promote a positive behavioral change among people in Thailand towards their healthy lifestyles, the first initiative programme of such the concept in Thailand. Dr. Krissada said the programme will present preventive conceptual approaches for the sake of people's good health, namely reduced smoking and alcohol consumption, along with proper food diet. MCOT Vice President Nimanong Yensabay told the same press conference that she believes the outstanding content of the new TV show will attract the audience of younger generations who prefer more constructive programmes beneficial to the society, which is in line with MCOT’s main policy. The new show comprises a total of eight episodes to be aired on original Modernine TV and MCOT HD Digital TV Channel 30 on Saturday nights, from 9:45–11:30pm, (Thailand's time) from December 13, 2014 to January 31, 2015.
