MCOT to show telecommunications leadership in "Thai BEx 2013"

BANGKOK, July 4 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm, plans to demonstrate its telecommunications leadership in its Thailand Broadcasting Exhibition (Thai BEx 2013), set to be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre from July 26-28. MCOT Vice President Sura Gaintanasilp told journalists on Thursday that the "Thai BEx 2013" will be organized on the theme of “Go Go Digital Thailand 2013”, which will represent a major step of Thailand’s television broadcasting from the analog broadcasting to the digital system, in accordance with the broadcasting master plan, 2011-2016, of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). According to the MCOT vice president, CAT Telecom Public Company Limited and True Visions Public Company Limited will be the main sponsors of the seminars and digital technology exhibitions at the "Thai BEx 2013", while program producers, like Grammy, Workpoint, JSL, Polyplus Entertainment, Thaicom and Loxley, will show advance production equipment, including ultra-wide angle digital cameras with the panoramic 64:9 aspect ratio. Besides, MCOT will establish the MCOT Digital Park to showcase its advance broadcasting technologies, digital TV, broadcasting development, program archive viewing through smart phones and the recording and alerts of favorite programs, while foreign experts will lecture on important topics.
