Media Coverage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Visit to Qassim and Hail Regions Achieves 20 Million Global Views

Riyadh, Rabi'I 06, 1440, November 14, 2018, SPA -- The Center for Government Communication issued a media monitoring report on the achievements of covering the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Qassim and Hail regions during the period of 6-8 November 2018. The report said that the coverage has achieved 20 million global views of 319 visual items provided by 122 media sources, reaching 26 countries in more than 14 languages. The report pointed out that more than 40 digital platforms published more than 1600 items, achieving 61 million impressions, 22 million interactions, 9.3 million views of visual materials, as the visit's information page attracted 13 thousand users, and achieved 15 thousand views of 832 published materials, where the visual identity of the visit was downloaded 6.3 thousand times. The number of publications about the visit reached 310 thousand, through 150 thousand publishers. The visit's media centers published 120 media releases, supported 180 journalists, and provided services to 116 participants. The Spokesman of the Ministry of Media and Director General of the Center for Government and International Communication, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mughlouth said that the unified media identity of the visit is the first of its kind in the history of the royal visits to the regions. He noted the great interaction by a number of influential accounts and accounts of government agencies and sports clubs and paper and electronic newspapers with visit news, where the number of views reached more than 20 million, adding that this contributed significantly to the delivery of the visit news to a large audience. He pointed out that 219 videos were transmitted, reflected the richness of each region, and the most important projects launched or opened during the visit, indicating that it has been shared with television and other media, as well as government agencies. He said that the local newspapers issued special supplements to talk about the visit, which dealt with the projects that opened or launched in each region in numbers and statistics, and the newspapers, agencies and the international media published more than 1400 information items on the visit, highlighting the development projects opened by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He referred to the wide circulation of news, photos and videos of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's visits. He explained that the Ministry of Media established and equipped information centers to issue permits to the media, and to provide raw materials for publication, which helped to achieve greater coverage, in view of the presence of a central destination to access the materials for the visit, and the website of the visit achieved a clear interaction. It was visited by more than 7,000 media outlets. He praised the support by Minister of Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awad and his guidance, which contributed to the preparation of an integrated media plan and the production and broadcast of many visual materials that achieved wide spread internationally and locally. --SPA
