"METALS MONGOLIA-2011" FORUM CONTINUES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At the “Metals Mongolia-2011” international forum, a level of our heavy industry and metallurgy was introduced on November 4. There are has five state and private industries--Darkhan's metallurgical industry and Cement and calcic industry at Khotol state-run entities, and limited liability companies of “Erel cement”, “Erdmin” and “Hoh steel”. For the time being, Mongolia has 33 deposits with fixed reserves of ore--660.8 million tons. In future, this number may go up, says specialists of Mineral authority of Ministry of Mineral resources and energy. In 2011, 19 mine have opened newly. In fact, many mining deposits are opened every year, and an influence of this sector is increasing on economics. According to researches, 14 mines were opened in 2009, 12 in 2010, 19 in 2011. It has led to an icrease in work force, for example, 50 thousand people are working in the mining sphere. Next year, an industry to crush and sort coal will be put into service by the “Southgobi sands” company at Ovot tolgoi coal mine in Gurvantes soum of Omnogobi aimag. It will separate brood from coal, mix coals of different stratums and produce value- added high quality products. B.Oyundelger
