MFA:Ancient Thai art was stolen from French palace

BANGKOK, March 3 (TNA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that a work of ancient Thai art was stolen from a French palace. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sek Wannamethee on Tuesday quoted the Thai Embassy in Paris as reporting among 15 works of art stolen from the Chinese Museum in the Chateau de Fountainbleau Palace in the early morning of March 1 was the Great Crown of Victory of King Rama IV that Thai diplomats presented to French Emperor Napoleon III in 1861.
